Word on the Street

There is ALWAYS something to attend at Valdosta State University. Student organizations here pride themselves on making sure that they host some of the best events. NAACP not only hosts our own events but we do collaborate with many other organizations to get the best outcomes. With school being right around the corner, the month of August is jam packed with great events.

Black History Month is upon us here at VSU!! This year we celebrate the great men and women who fought to get us where we are today. The theme for this years Black History Month is United We Rise: The New Black. Throughout this month there are various events hosted by various organizations that celebrate African American culture. From cookouts to art festivals, there is always an interesting event around the corner. Come out and celebrate Black History Month with NAACP!
